Commenting on this year’s festival, Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe, BUFF 2012 Festival Director, said:

"This year, perhaps more than any other, BUFF and its partners will bang home the message that the UK as a nation is unashamedly proud in celebrating the best of British and embracing diversity. As a festival, we are uniquely placed to reflect that vision through some of the great work that is being made by some of the UK’s most talented filmmakers”

This year's event is sponsored by Vanessa Blake Cosmetics. SERTUC Film Club, which has agreed to extend its sponsorship of the event, will once again stage the opening night from Congress House (in London’s West End) on Friday October the 12th. The festival then moves to London’s East End with “Super Saturday” on October the 13th at Oxford House in Bethnal Green.
